AUCTION for Open Registration

Thank you for your interest in Rocky Top XV...we hope to make this year's bonspiel the best yet! You can look forward to made-from-scratch ice, our Saturday BBQ Ribs & Bluegrass Banquet, and your team entry includes all curling, beer, wine, food, and entertainment for the weekend. Teams will get a 3-game guarantee (6-game maximum) with 5 event finals on Sunday afternoon.

There are 7 spots currently open for Rocky Top XV. Due to high demand, we award these entries through a modified Vickrey/Second-Price Auction - not a "first come, first serve" sign-up.

AUCTION RULES

• The minimum bid allowed is $580/team (U.S. Dollars).
• Bids must be in whole-dollar amounts.
• Bidding is blind; only one bid per team.
• Bidding closes on Monday, March 23rd at Noon EDT.

WINNING THE AUCTION and BID STRATEGY

• The top 7 bidders will be awarded entries into Rocky Top XV for the price of the seventh-highest bid. Over the years, this price has ranged between $600 and $800 per team, but we have seen individual bids go as high as $50,000.
• ​Bids submitted earlier will get priority in case of any ties.
• Non-qualifying bidders will be Wait Listed in bid order. If another team drops out, the highest bidder on this list will be contacted to see if they would like to join. The entry fee will still be the price of the seventh-highest bid.

OTHER DETAILS

• Winning bidders must complete payment by Monday, April 6th at Noon EDT. Payment can be done by check or electronically (you'll receive a Paypal/Venmo e-bill).
• REFUNDS: Teams who drop out BEFORE Friday, May 15th at Noon EDT will be refunded all but $60 of their registration fee. After that time, we cannot refund any registration fees.
